The Challenge
Across Canada, holiday travel advertising often leans into urgency and congestion, despite travellers seeking reassurance, clarity, and a sense of ease—especially during winter travel.
The challenge was to reposition holiday air travel as:
Smooth and dependable
Emotionally reassuring
Calm, even during peak travel periods while remaining visually festive, modern, and brand-consistent.
About This Project
This campaign was developed as a conceptual advertising exercise. While not commissioned by a client, the strategy, creative direction, and execution reflect professional workflows used in Canadian airline and national advertising campaigns.
Conceptual Advertising Strategy
The campaign is built around a single, unifying visual metaphor: Aircraft forming recognizable holiday symbols.
Using airplanes to create:
A Christmas tree
A guiding star
Snowflake-inspired radial forms
Directional beams of light the visuals connect flight paths, seasonal symbolism, and airline brand promise into a cohesive conceptual advertising system.
